(SAN DIEGO, CA; April 2007) – Arterra Restaurant and Bar is excited to announce Executive Chef Brian Pekarcik’s invitation to cook at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City on June 12, 2007. Chef Pekarcik will prepare a “California Tasting: Three Ways” menu that truly showcases the breadth of his culinary expertise and innovative talent. Throughout the year Arterra’s menu reflects California’s regional seasonal cuisine and the expanse of ingredients, flavors and eclectic influences available at the peak of each season. “Living in California we have so many amazing ingredients and celebrated purveyors to choose from. We are fortunate to have them available year-round,” says Chef Pekarcik. “I am hoping to bring a taste of California to the James Beard House that uniquely exemplifies the cuisine only found in this very special part of the country.”
Beginning March 28 through May 24, 2007, Arterra Restaurant and Bar will hold
a contest inviting its guests to enter in a drawing to win an “Arterra weekend
in New York and Dinner at the James Beard House.” This culinary enthusiast’s
trip to New York City will take place on June 11 through 13, 2007 for an honored
Arterra fan and a guest to join Executive Chef Brian Pekarcik at the prestigious
